Artist statement
My work is an exploration of biological monuments in various states of growth and decay.
Through this lens, I create imagery deeply personal, devoid of contemporary icons and symbols. Each work is both a meditation and a cathartic response to our bond between the body, landscape, and spirit/psyche.
Less grand than historical landscape paintings, I focus on the subtle processes in nature, creating a personally sublime narrative of mortality and all that comes with the weight of life.
